Milestone 2 Directions

Milestone Number 2: Infectious Disease

Directions:

1. Begin by reading chapters 6 and 7 in the text.
2. Visit the website called An Ounce of Prevention: Keeps the Germs Away from the Center for Disease Control
3. Using a word processor, Power Point, Publisher, or another creative tool, create a fun, appealing and age appropriate poster you could hang in your classroom to educate your students.
4. Create a new page to your Wiki.
5. Title the page corresponding to your topic. For example: Flu
6. Using the Edit feature, on your Wiki, give a brief summary of your topic and how children can prevent the spread of infections in the school setting. Be sure you tie in facts from the readings as well as the CDC website.
7. Upload your final project to the corresponding Wiki page.
8. In the class Webcourse, click on Assignments and enter the date you completed and uploaded ALL requirements for this Milestone.

A grade cannot be issued without this final step being completed.
